New Drywall Product that helps Indoor Air Quality

New technology is coming into play within building materials that will aid in the prevention of Indoor Air Quality contamination.  The new drywall from CertainTeed called AirRenew is built to actively absorb and remove harmful formaldehyde gas found within homes.  The material also has M2Tech which provides an additional zone of protection against mold and moisture.  The product is enclosed in 100 percent recycled mold and moisture resistant paper in order to protect the home even further from mold contamination in the walls or air.  The product scored the best possible scores for mold resistance.

The AirRenew family of drywall products has received Greenguard Gold Certification and UL Environment validation.  These products can be used in the future to aid in the prevention of reoccurring mold growth or preventative measures in a new home being built.
